Mother
Why did Adam call his
wife’s name Eve?
“Adam named his wife
Eve, because she would become the mother of
all the living.”
Genesis 3:20.
Note – It is said that
the three sweetest words in nay language are mother,
home and heaven.

Abraham concerning his wife, Sarah?
“I will bless her and
will surely give you a son by her. I will

Honor Due to Mothers

the honor of a mother?
“Honor your father and

did Christ manifest for His mother in the hour of

The Mother’s Influence on
Children

to do if the Lord should grant her a man-child?
“And she made a vow,

look upon your servant’s misery and remember
me, and not forget your servant but give her a
son, Then I will give him to the Lord for all the
days of his life, and no razor will ever be used
on his head.” 1 Samuel 1:11.
To whom did God commit the
care and early training of His only-begotten Son?
“On coming to the
house, they saw the child with his mother Mary,
and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they
opened their treasures and presented him with
gifts of gold and incense and of myrrh.”

Note – A Christian
mother, above all others can deeply implant and
faithfully cherish the seeds of truth in the
young and tender heart. More even than the
father, the mother molds the life, character, and
destiny of man. Every stage and phase of
life is touched and influenced by her. Infancy,
childhood, youth, manhood, and old age alike look
to her for inspiration; thus she is both the
morning and the evening star of life.
How early did Timothy know the
Scriptures?
“And how from
infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures,
which are able to make you wise for salvation
through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy
3:15.
