- Revelation 17:1-5. The
impure woman of Revelation 17 is the
opposite of the pure woman of
Revelation 12. The pure woman
represents God’s faithful
remnant church; the impure woman
represents a false church.
Satan’s counterfeit of truth is
Babylon-a fit name for the confusion
of present-day worldly churches.
Genesis
11: 9. Babel (Babylon) originated in a
confusion of languages.
- Revelation 17:6, 9,
15-18. This chapter identifies a
large, powerful, religious-political
system of false worship ruling the
world from Rome.
- Revelation 16:
13,19. Babylon is made up of
three parts-paganism, Romanism, and
apostate Protestantism.

- Revelation
18:1-4. God invites the
honest in heart to leave the fallen
churches of the world and unite
themselves with His faithful remnant
people in keeping His commandments.

- John 10:27. Christ’s
true sheep hear the call of the Good
Shepherd. His obedient people will
come out of Babylon-the fallen
churches-into the faithful flock of
the remnant that keep God’s
commandments.
- Matthew 12:30. Just
before the end of the world, there
will be no neutral ground. One must
either stay in Babylon and be
destroyed (Revelation 18: 8, 21) or
be a part of God’s remnant
church and be saved for eternity.
(Revelation 14:4, 5; 15: 2,3).
- Genesis 19:15-26.
It is important for us to respond
today and be obedient to God as it
was for Lot to flee from ancient
Sodom.
