Heaven
Lesson
7
Marking
Code: H
Marking Color: Yellow
Key Text: Isaiah 65:17, 19, 21-25
Note: There
are three heavens spoken of in
the Bible:
- The atmospheric
heavens where birds fly (Genesis
1:20; Revelation 19:17).
- The stellar heavens
where the planets and stars are
located (Genesis 1:14-17; Psalm
19:1).
- Paradise where God
lives (2 Corinthians 12:2-4).
This lesson is
dealing with the third heaven-the
home of God and the holy angels-and the place
where God will take His redeemed people when
Jesus comes. As we have seen in Lesson 6 (The
Millennium), the redeemed go to heaven with
Jesus at His coming, but after the 1,000
years, God will recreate the earth anew and
make it the capital of his universal kingdom.
The redeemed will live with Him on this
beautiful new earth forever.
- Isaiah 65:17,19,
21-25. The Bible describes heaven
as a real place where real people are
occupied with real activities that
are satisfying and rewarding.
- Revelation 7:17. There
will be no more tears or mourning in
heaven.
Isaiah
60:18-20.
- Isaiah 11:6-9. There
will be no violence in heaven.
- Isaiah 35:1,2. The
desert will blossom like a rose-all
the effects of sin will be ended.
Isaiah
51:3.
- Hebrews 11:10, 16. God
is building a wonderful city-the New
Jerusalem-in heaven for us.
- Revelation 21:2,3. God
will bring this glorious New
Jerusalem from heaven to earth as the
capital of His universal kingdom
where He will dwell with His people
forever.
- Revelation 21:1-5;
Isaiah 65:17, 21, 22. The Bible
says that God will re-create our
world into a beautiful new earth as
it was in the beginning before sin.
This will be the home of His redeemed
people for all eternity.
- Revelation 21;
22:1-5. The Bible describes the
wonderful city God is preparing-the
New Jerusalem-as a place of peace,
love, and joy. It will be a place of
fellowship with God and Jesus; we
will live with Him and be His people.
- Zechariah 8:5. The
streets of the city will be filled
with boys and girls.
- 1 Corinthians
13:12. We will know one another
and our loved ones in heaven.

invites us to inherit the kingdom He
has prepared just for us!
