Revelation 20,21
The Millennium
Begin Text:
Today, we continue with our
study in the 10th prophecy in
Revelation.
Before we start with Chapter
20, I want to highlight a couple points.
First, you need to remember
that the 10th prophecy begins with
Revelation 10:11 and ends with Revelation 20:10.
Second, to fully appreciate
the contents of Revelation 20:1 we have to
understand its context. So consider this:
Revelation 19 should have 31 verses. However, it
has only 21 verses.
Translators started a new
chapter after Revelation 19:21 because they didn’t
know anything about the rules of interpretation
centuries ago. Remember, the single purpose of
chapter and verse designations is for reference,
nothing more.
So, let’s start with
Revelation 19:19 to make sure that we properly
understand the setting for Revelation 20:1.
Revelation 19:19
Then I saw the [composite] beast and the kings of
the earth and their armies gathered together to
make war against the rider on the horse and his
army.
[This scene in Chapter 19
aligns with the sixth bowl in Chapter 16. If you
remember, three demons were sent out in the 6th
bowl to convince the ten kings that they should
join forces with Lucifer in destroying Jesus at
the Second Coming. The sixth bowl consists of a
very short battle called Armageddon. This battle
will end almost as soon as it begins! Here’s
why….]
Revelation 19:20
But the [composite] beast was [easily]
captured, and with him the false prophet [Lucifer,
the lamb-like beast] who had performed the
miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs
he [Lucifer] had deluded those who had
received the mark of the beast and worshiped his
image. The two of them were thrown
alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur
[which will burn intensely for 1,000 years.]
A few words about this lake
of fire are necessary….
[Lucifer, his angels and all
of his employees (those working in his one world
church/state will be thrown alive into a
fiery lake of burning sulfur at the Second
Coming. Jesus uses fire to destroy the prostitute
because she is the fallen government on Earth.
Now listen carefully to what I am about to say
because this part of the story confuses a lot of
people.
When Jesus arrives at the
Second Coming, He will throw the devil, his
angels and all of his worldwide government into a
huge lake of burning sulfur that suddenly
ignites. This fire will breakout from the Lord
and I believe it will engulf the oceans.
Remember, at this point in time, everything in
the oceans is dead. The oceans will burn for
1,000 years as though they were full of kerosene.
Millions of people who
served in Lucifer’s government will die in
the fire, but Lucifer and his angels will not
die in this fire.
Only their assumed bodies
will be destroyed. By taking away their physical
bodies once again, the devil and his angels are
returned to the abyss – the spirit realm.
More about this in a moment….
For know, you need to know
that (a) Lucifer and his angels will have their
bodies destroyed but, they returned to the abyss
at the Second Coming, (b) all of the wicked who
served in Lucifer’s government will also be
thrown into the lake of fire and (c) all of the
remaining wicked will be killed by a command that
comes out of the mouth of Jesus.]
Revelation 19:21
The rest of them [e.g., the wicked who are not
employees of Lucifer’s government] were
killed with the sword that came out of the mouth
of the rider on the horse [e.g., Jesus speaks.
The voice that calls the righteous dead to life
is the same voice that commands the wicked to
die. His command to destroy the wicked is called
“a sword that comes out of His mouth”],
and all the birds gorged themselves on their
flesh.
Ok, let’s make sure
we have this clearly understood – At the
Second Coming, a giant lake of fire will ignite.
The oceans will merge. They will be set on fire
and they will burn continuously for 1,000 years.
Now you know why there will
not be any more sea at the end of sin’s
drama. Revelation 21:1 “Then
I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first
heaven and the first earth had passed away. And
there was no longer any sea.”
In other words, when the
Earth made new, I believe the oceans will not be
present. God converts the space covered by water
into land so that every saint who has ever lived
can each have a generous inheritance of land!
For the moment, you need to
understand that the physical bodies which
the devil and his angels assumed at the
fifth trumpet will be burned up in the lake of
fire that begins burning at the Second Coming,
but the devil and his angels are not harmed
– rather, their bodies are destroyed. The
destruction of their bodies explains how Lucifer
and his angels are put back into the abyss.
But, those people who serve
in Lucifer’s government will be thrown into
this fire and they will totally perish and people
now perish in fire. Employees of the great
prostitute will be thrown into this lake of fire
this is how they will die at the Second Coming.
This destruction is not to
be confused with the second death. The second
death does not occur until the end of the 1,000
years. No one but Jesus has experienced the
Second Death.
The rest of the wicked on
Earth will be killed by a command that comes from
Jesus’ mouth. This is not the second death
for them, either.
So,
the wicked will die at the Second Coming in two
ways. Some will be burned up and some will die as
a result of Jesus commanding them to die.
Also,
those who participated in the crucifixion of
Jesus will be resurrected to see Jesus appear at
the Second Coming, and then, they will die with
the wicked.
Keep
in mind that the second death does not occur
until the end of the 1,000 years. So everyone who
dies at the Second Coming is “put to sleep.”
So,
Jesus leaves the vultures a great feast as the
saints depart this totally ruined planet for
their heavenly home that Jesus has prepared for
them.
Now,
we are ready for Revelation 20 verse 1.
Revelation
20:1 And I saw an angel coming down
from heaven, having the key to the Abyss and
holding in his hand a great chain.
Revelation
20:2 He seized the dragon, that
ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and
bound him for a thousand years.
Revelation
20:3 He threw him into the Abyss, and
locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from
deceiving the nations anymore until the
thousand years were ended. After that, he must be
set free for a short time.”
Two points:
1. Lucifer and
his angels have been locked in the abyss ever
since they were cast out of Heaven on
Resurrection Sunday. This means that Lucifer and
his angels cannot leave Earth and they cannot be
seen. (Remember, before Resurrection Sunday,
Lucifer could meet with other angels? See Job 1.)
KJV Revelation 12:9
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old
serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into
the earth, and his angels were cast out with
him.”
Here’s an important
point.
Even though the devil has
been locked in the abyss for the past 2,000
years, he has been able to trouble and deceive
the nations of Earth at will. This fact
is declared in Revelation 12:12
Revelation 12:12
“….But woe to the earth and the
sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He
is filled with fury, because he knows that his
time is short.”
1 Peter 5:8 “Be
self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil
prowls around like a roaring lion looking for
someone to devour.”
The point here is that even
though Lucifer has been confined to Earth and
made invisible, his demonic efforts to
overcome mankind have not been restricted.
However, the Bible tells us
that at the fifth trumpet, the devil will be released
from this invisible realm and he will receive
a body and physically appear before the people of
Earth:
Revelation 9:1 The
fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star
that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star
was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss….
Revelation 9:11 They
[Lucifer’s angels] had a king over
them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in
Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.”
For the Jew (Hebrew) and the
Gentile (Greek) alike the name means the same:
The “Destroyer.”

The

Revelation 17:8 The
[lamb-like] beast, which you saw, once
was [visible], now is not [visible],
and will come up out of the Abyss [and be
visible] and go to his destruction. The
inhabitants of the earth who names have not
been written in the book of life from the
creation of the world will be astonished
when they see the beast, because he once
was [visible], now is not [visible],
and yet will come [up out of the abyss and be
fully visible].”
At the Second Coming….
Revelation 20:3
He [the angel] threw him [Lucifer]
into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over
him, to keep him from deceiving the nations
[ethnos – people anymore until the
thousand years were ended.”
This sentence misleads a lot
of good people. Many Christians read this verse
and they think it affirms that Jesus and the
saints will be on Earth during the 1,000 years
because this sentence says that Satan cannot
torment the nations (who must be present on
Earth) until the 1,000 years are ended.
Let’s take a closer
look:
Jesus said:
John
14:2 In my Father’s house are
many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told
you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
John 14:3 And If
I go [there] and prepare a place for you,
I will come back [here] and take you [there]
to be with me that you also may be where I am
[going].”
Paul wrote:
1 Thessalonians 4:17
After that, we who are still alive and are left
will be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we
will be with the Lord forever.”
Question: Why do the dead
and living saints meet the Lord in the air?
Simple: Jesus
said, “I will come back [here] and
take you [to my Father’s house] to be
with me that you also may be where I am.”
So, during the 1,000 years,
the Earth will be desolate, dead, totally
vacant of life and the oceans will be roaring
with fire.
The righteous will be with
the Lord in Heaven (living in the New Jerusalem)
and the wicked who were alive at the Second
Coming will be dead – either burned up in
the lake of sulfur or destroyed by the sword that
came out of Jesus’ mouth.
Thus, Earth itself will
receive a rest – the 1,000 years in
Revelation 20 are a sabbatical millennium –
a Sabbath rest of 1,000 years from the works of
sin.”
The devil is put back in the
Abyss so that he cannot torment or trouble anyone
else in the whole universe for 1,000 years
and this is the primary reason why God locks Lucifer
in the Abyss on Earth during the 1,000 years.
In other words, the devil
cannot travel to other worlds.
The devil cannot enter
Heaven and bother the saints.
The devil cannot be seen! He
will be locked up in an invisible state and
chained to this uninhabitable Earth.
As they say in kindergarten:
Lucifer and his angel’s are in timeout. They
cannot go outside and bother the other children
for 1,000 years.”
When these matters are
synthesized, we have to conclude that the Bible
means:
The devil will not be able
to deceive anyone for 1,000 years, but he will
continue his work of deception at the end of the
1,000 years. 6,000 years of relentless deception
is simply terminated.
Revelation 20:3 “He
threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed
it over him, to keep him from deceiving the
nations [ethnos – people] anymore until
the thousand years were ended.”
Verse 3 is more about
Lucifer’s future actions than Lucifer’s
actions during the 1,000 years.
The devil will produce one
last deception at the end of the 1,000 years. We
will see this in a moment.
The Bible abruptly
introduces a prophetic time-period of 1,000 years
in Revelation 20:2. Nothing is said elsewhere in
the Bible about this prophetic time-period.
Revelation 20:2 He
[the angel] seized the dragon, the ancient
serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound
him for a thousand years.”
So, here’s a good
question.
Since the 1,000 years occurs
after the Second Coming, why do we need to know
about the 1,000 years right now?
Why do we need to know the
length of time the devil will be held in the
Abyss?
In other words, what does
this information bring to Revelation’s
story?
There is a lot of diversity
among Christians on this topic:
a. Some
Christians believe the 1,000 years represent an
indeterminate period of time. In other words,
they believe the 1,000 years is just a figure of
speech, the actual duration of this time-period
could be a mere 448 days or 2,678 years. These
people say it doesn’t matter how much time
is involved. Whatever it is, is really
immaterial.
b. Other
Christians insist the 1,000 years must be
interpreted as 360,000 years because they claim, “A
day always equals a year in Bible prophecy,”
thus, one thousand years of 360 days per year
equals 360,000 or 365,000 years.”
OK, there are differences of
opinion on the duration of time, so what is the
point of knowing about this time period of time
before it comes to pass?
I am convinced that both of
the views just mentioned have no merit for
two reasons.
First, Rule 4 says outside
the Jubilee calendar, God does not translate time
according to a day for a year. So, after 1994, a
year is simply a year.
Taking the Bible as it
reads, this would make the 1,000 years literally
1,000 years.
Second, there are 18
prophetic time-periods in the books of Daniel and
Revelation and I find that each one of them
precisely describes a span of time that conforms
to the specification given.
For example, the 42 months
in Revelation 13:5 will be 42 moons in length.
The 1,335 days in Daniel 12
will be literally 1,335 literal days.
And, of course, the 70 weeks
in Daniel 9 were 490 years in length.
Therefore, the 1,000 years
in Revelation 20 must be 1,000 literal years and
here’s a good reason why we need to know
about these 1,000 years before they begin.
When we add up the
genealogical record from Adam to Moses….
When we add up in the
Jubilee calendar, -- from the Exodus from Egypt
in 1437 B.C. to the termination of the Jubilee
calendar in 1994….
When we add in the years
that have unfolded since 1994….
And when we add in the 1,000
years of Revelation 20 we discover that Bible
history and Bible prophecy combine together
to produce a story showing that sin will last 7,000
years.
I don’t think this
total is a mere coincidence.
Before the world was
created, God foreknew the rise of sin and He
determined its duration.
I believe that God has given
us a template showing the duration of Earth. This
template is “the weekly cycle.”
If
you recall our study on the Jubilee calendar back
in March, April, May and June, 2004, you know
that the weekly cycle is a basic building
structure which God has used many times.
In fact, God’s great
clocks are based on units of seven.
1. The weekly
cycle – 7 days
2. The religious
year – 7 months
3. The Week of
years – 7 years
4. The Week of
Weeks of years – 7 weeks of 7 years – A
cycle of 49 years equals one Jubilee cycle
5. Seven Great
Days of 10 Jubilee cycles (490 years each
day)
6. Seven Grand
Days of Ten Centuries each (1,000 years)

The
largest clock of seven days is based on
millenniums.
2 Peter 3:8 But
do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With
the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a
thousand years are like a day.”
The point here is that the
1,000 years in Revelation 20 helps us understand
a very big picture. A Sabbath rest of 1,000 years
is coming to earth. The land itself will rest
from the works of sin.

the parallel:
Leviticus 25:4 But
in the seventh year the land is to have a Sabbath
of rest, a Sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow
your fields or prune your vineyards.
Leviticus 25:5
Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the
grapes of your untended vines. The land is to
have a year of rest.”
At
the end of the 6,000 years of sin, the devil will
be returned to the Abyss.
The saints will be taken to
Heaven.’
The wicked will be put to
sleep – awaiting the second resurrection.
So, what happens during the
1,000 years in Heaven?
Revelation
20:4 I saw thrones on
which were seated those who had been given authority
to judge. And I saw the souls of those who
had been beheaded because of their testimony for
Jesus and because of the Word of God. [Now,
notice which people John saw] They had not
worshiped the beast or his image and had not
received his mark on their foreheads or their
hands. They came to life and reigned with
Christ a thousand years. [This is the
first resurrection.]
Revelation 20:5 (The
rest of the dead [those not resurrected at the
Second Coming] did not come to life until the
thousand years were ended.) This is the first
resurrection.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed
and holy are those who have part in the first
resurrection. The second death has no
power over them, but they will be priests of God
and of Christ and will reign with him for
a thousand years.”
Reigning with Jesus….
What is this all about?
In order to understand the
answer to this question, you need to know and
understand three important doctrines:
1. You need
to know and understand soul sleep. When a
person dies, he does not go to Heaven or Hell.
Actually, a dead person “sleeps.” There
is no awareness, intelligence or thought after a
person dies. Other than a selected few who had
been taken to Heaven, there are no deceased souls
rejoicing in Heaven or writhing in Hell.
The spirit (the pnumas, the
breath of life) returns to God and the body
returns to dust.
This is true for all saints
and all sinners alike!
When the breath of life and
the body are separated, there is no soul. At
the resurrection, the spirit (pneumas) and
the body are reunited and the soul occurs.
Soul sleep is an important
doctrine for this reason:
2. You need
to understand the pre-Advent judgment.
The judgment of the dead began
in 1844 and the judgment of the living occurs
during the Great tribulation.
Eternal life or eternal
death is determined for each person by Jesus
Christ Himself. He alone is the judge of mankind.
John 5:22 “Moreover,
the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all
judgment to the Son.”
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment
seat of Christ, that each one may receive
what is due him for the things done while in the
body, whether good or bad.”
Understanding the pre-Advent
judgment is important because God’s use of
the judgment of mankind to accomplish numerous
objectives.
So, if you already
understand the doctrines of soul sleep and the
pre-Advent judgment, you are two-thirds of the
way there!
Finally, in order to
understand why the saints will reign with Christ,
3. We need to
understand God’s vengeance.
God’s vengeance is a
wonderful doctrine. In the simplest of terms,
this doctrine teaches that God will ultimately
see that mercy and justice is done.
In other words, at the end
of the 1,000 years, God will see to it that mercy
is extended to all who deserve mercy and justice
will be served to those that need it.
I want to talk about the
justice side of this doctrine for a moment…
Romans 12:19 Do
not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for
God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is
mine to avenge: I will repay, says the Lord.
The doctrine of God’s
vengeance teaches that God requires restitution
for every wrong deed. In other words, God
requires every person to make restitution to
those we have done wrong.
Restitution is the evidence
that repentance produces.
If we refuse to make
restitution for every wrong deed, then we are not
repentant.
Since unrepentant sinners
will not occupy Heaven, God will see to it that full
restitution is extracted from the wicked at
the end of the 1,000 years.
Consider this example:
If a man rapes and kills 20
women and is caught, what is the greatest
punishment mankind can bestow on mankind? God
says, to show His hatred for such horror, we
should put that man to death.
But wait! This doesn’t
provide restitution. The doctrine of restitution
says this man has to be put to death 20 times!
He needs to suffer as each
of his 20 victims suffered. He needs to feel the
pain and loathing of 20 women and only God can
extract this kind of restitution!
Listen carefully to the
words of Jesus:
Matthew 10:28 Do
not be afraid of those who kill the body but
cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the
One who can destroy both souls and body in hell.”
The point here is that when
God sends fire down out of Heaven to burn up the
wicked, this murderer and rapist will suffer and
writhe in the flames of hell until restitution is
fully accomplished.
Then, and only then, will
the golden rule be fulfilled: “As you did
unto others, the same was done unto you.”
2 Thessalonians 1:6
God is just: He will pay back trouble to
those who trouble you…”
Listen to the words of
Jesus:
Matthew 18:23 “therefore,
the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted settle
accounts with his servants.
Matthew 18:24 As
he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten
thousand talents was brought to him.
Matthew 18:25 Since
he was not able to pay, the master ordered that
he and his wife and his children and all that he
had be sold to repay the debt.
Matthew 18:26 “The
servant fell to his knees before him. ‘Be
patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I
will pay back everything.’
Matthew 18:27 The
servant ‘s master took pity on him, canceled
the debt and let him go.
Matthew 18:28 “But
when the servant went out, he found one of his
fellow servants who owed him a hundred
denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke
him. “Pay back what you owe me!’ he
demanded.
Matthew 18:29 “His
fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him,
‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you
back.”
Matthew 18: 30 “But
he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man
thrown into prison until he could pay for the
debt.
Matthew 18:31 When
the other servants saw what had happened, they
were greatly distressed and went and told their
master everything that had happened.
Matthew 18:32 “Then
the master called the servant in. ‘You
wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I cancelled
all that debt of yours because you begged me to.
Matthew 18:33 Shouldn’t
you have mercy on your fellow servant just as I
had on you?’
Matthew 18:34 In
anger his master turned him over to the fellow
jailers to be tortured, until he should
pay back all he owed.
Matthew 18:35 “This
is how my heavenly Father will treat each of
you unless you forgive your brother from your
heart.”
The bible is perfectly clear
about the nature of God’s justice: Life for
life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for
hand, foot for foot and bruise for bruise.
Profound statement:
The wicked will not die in
the flames of hell until justice is served and
every ounce of restitution that needs to be
extracted has been extracted.
God is adamant about
restitution because He knows that sorrow for
our wrong doing (repentance) begins with a
compelling desire to restore the damage that we
caused.
There is no true repentance
from sin without a willingness to make
restitution.
Luke 19:2 A man
was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was the
chief tax collector and was wealthy.
Luke 19:3 He
wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short
man he could not, because of the crowd.
Luke 19:4 So he
ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see
him, since Jesus was coming that way.
Luke 19:5 When
Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to
him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I
must stay at your house today.”
Luke 19:6 So he
came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
Luke 19:7 All
the people saw this and began to mutter, “He
has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”
Luke 19:8 But
Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look,
Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions
to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of
everything, I will pay back four times the
amount.”
Luke 19:9 Jesus
said to him, “Today salvation has come to
this house, because this man, too, is a son of
Abraham.
Through the power of the
Holy Spirit, Zacchaeus became truly sorry for his
cheating and made a fourfold restitution.
Zacchaeus demonstrated the
law of love by restoring what he had selfishly
taken. This is why Jesus said, “Today
salvation has come to this house, because this
man, too, is a son of Abraham.”
OK, what does all of this
has to do with “reigning with Christ for a
1,000 years?”
1 Corinthians 6:2
Do you not know that the saints will judge the
world? And if you are to judge the world, are
you not competent to judge trivial cases?
1 Corinthians 6:3
Do you not know that we will judge angels?
How much more the things of this life!”
During the 1,000 years, the
saints will sit in judgment with Jesus and
determine the appropriate amount of restitution
to be extracted from each wicked person and
each angel.
In billions of cases, the
victims will pass judgment upon their attackers.
Jesus grants the victims of
painful experiences to determine how much pain
their attacker must endure.
Keep in mind; this will not
be an arbitrary sentencing.
No, God’s laws are
never arbitrary. Life for life, eye for eye,
tooth for tooth, etc. So, the saints will sit in
judgment with Christ --- not to determine the
eternal life or eternal death for anyone –
because Jesus Himself decided that in the
pre-Advent judgment BEFORE the Second Coming.
Rather, the saints will
reign with Christ in determining the amount of
restitution that has to be extracted from each
wicked person.
Romans 12:19 Do
not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for
God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is
mine to avenge; I will repay,” says
the Lord.
One last point:
Look at this verse again:
Revelation 20:4 I
saw thrones on which were seated those who had
been given authority to judge. And I saw the
souls of those who had been beheaded
because of their testimony for Jesus and because
of the Word of God. They had not worshiped the
beast or his image and had not received the mark
on their foreheads or their hands. They came to
life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
John affirms God’s
justice in this verse. The martyrs of the fifth
seal will sit in judgment on their murderers who
killed them for no other reason than demonic
hatred. How wonderful of God!
Galatians 5:22 says,
“Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A
man reaps what he sows.”
Prophecy #10 continues with
verse 7 through 10. Let’s read them.
Revelation 20:7 When
the thousand years are over, Satan will be
released from his prison,
Revelation 20:8 and
will go out to deceive the nations in the four
corners of the earth – Gog and Magog –
to gather them for battle. In number they are
like the sand on the seashore.
Revelation 20:9 They
marched across the breadth of the earth and
surrounded the camp of God’s people, the
city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and
devoured them.
Revelation 20:10
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into
the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and
the false prophet had been thrown. They will be
tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
Before we look at these
verses, I’d like to see the remaining time
to explain the sequence of events that occurs at
the end of the 1,000 years.
First:
Revelation 21:2 I
saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down
out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride
beautifully dressed for her husband.
Revelation 21:3 And
I heard a loud voice from the thrown saying,
“now the dwelling of God is with men, and he
will live with them. They will be his people, and
God himself will be with them and be their God.
Second:
Revelation 20:11
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was
seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his
presence, and there was no place for them.
Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing

life. The dead were judged according to what they
had done as recorded in the books.
Revelation 20:13
The sea gave up her dead that were in it, and
death and Hades gave up the dead that were in
them, and each person was judged according to

murderers, the sexually immoral, those who
practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars
– their place will be in the fiery lake of
burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Malachi 4:1 “Surely
the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace.
All the arrogant and every evil doer will
be stubble, and that day that is coming will set
them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty.
“Not a root or a branch will be left to
them.
Malachi 4:2 But
for you who revere my name, the sun of
righteousness will rise with healing in its
wings. And you will go out and leap like calves
released from the stall.
Malachi 4:3 Then
you will trample down the wicked, they will be
ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I
do these things,” says the Lord Almighty.
Does this mean Eternal Hell?
No.
Does this mean restitution
be extracted and justice served? Yes.
Mark 9:47 And if
your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is
better for you to enter the kingdom of God with
one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into
hell,
