Conditioning to Accept New Age Christ’s

“Ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” – Satan to Eve, Genesis 3:5.

“Strait is the Gate, and Narrow is the Way Which Leadeth Unto Life, and Few There Be That Find It.” Matthew 7:14.

Transformed By His Presence

Unless we spend much time with the Lord, unless we tarry long in His presence, unless we learn to wrestle with Him in communion and prayer, we will never know Him.

The Teachings, and the Cultural Effects

One of the greatest dangers of the pantheistic, New Age Christ, (and other false christ’s as well), is not only the teachings of pantheism, but the diffuse, and sometimes not so subtle, culture, and the church.

How the Cultural Effect Works

For instance, if a New Ager were to directly teach what pantheism is, namely, that god is in everything, many of the older folk, nursed and brought up in a Protestant, Christian culture and church, would instantly reject the teaching. However, what happens is, the entire culture around us, the church, gives away to the effect of this teaching in the environment that surrounds them, and before long, New Age Bibles, such as The Message, appear on the bookshelves of the ABC or university bookstore, The Message Bible is purchased, and then read.

Among the youth, for example – they go to a Structure camp meeting, and there, in the youth pavilion, is a rap band, or a rock band, with a youth leader telling them that everyone in the congregation will be saved. That is universalism. They go to college, and the signs for youth programs trumpet Teihardin, pantheistic Jesuit slogans, such as “fusion,” “integrate” (meaning integrate, that is submerge yourself in the group), to them as they walk down the sidewalks that are chalked with astrological drawings, as they pass one after another student dressed in the clothing that exhibits the results of acceptance of pantheistic tenets in their personal orientation - midriff gaps, ear rings on fellows, and one after another with earphones pumping rap music into their souls.

The Language of Pantheism

The youth become inured to the language of pantheism with Genesis 2K, right out of the Jesuit Teilhard de Chardin’s pantheistic concepts (“Genesis” means minds coming together in pantheistic fusion, or noogeneis), for example, while the older folk, back at home, reading their new The Message Bible purchased at the ABC, read the primary slogan of pantheism, used for 4,000 years, right out of the ancient, spiritualistic Egypt from the Emerald Tablet, imbedded in the heart of the Lord’s Prayer.

At the same time the clothing of a pantheistic culture is sold in the stores, the slogans of the pantheistic New World Order appear in church journals – think globally, act locally – and the articles on the political correctness appear in the Review.

Pantheism Stifles Integrity, Discipleship, Individuality, and Destroys Personality

Pantheism, in its cultural and church effects, works to utterly stifle integrity, true discipleship and the individuality produced by true discipleship, courage, moral independence, critical thinking, and the perception of people as individuals. Instead, collectivism takes hold, and the person, instead of viewing himself as an individual whose first and foremost union is with the Biblical Christ, views himself as a part of the sea of humanity. Since pantheism views god as a Force pervading nature, the concept of the personality of the transcendent Creator God is destroyed, and thus personality is destroyed in the pantheist.

So serious a problem was the destruction of personality due to pantheism during the Hippie Movement, that Dr. Francis Schaeffer, an American pastor, went over to the Alps, where he established a center, called L’Abri, French for The Shelter, in the Alpine mountains to help people whose lives had been destroyed because of the concepts of the Creator God had been destroyed by pantheism. His first work was to get them to believe in an infinite Creator God Who has infinite personality.

Pantheism’s Effect on Conviction and Moral Independence

Pantheism affects all vital concepts. Conviction, for example, is damped down, and fashioned to “fit in” with “the church.” No longer is conviction wedded to true moral independence, which demands action and separation to maintain integrity, freedom, holiness, and purity.  No, under the impact of pantheism, conviction itself is subverted out of its orientation to God, faith, and the Word alone, and made to serve the purposes of social, group, and church cohesion, or integration of the conscience in submission to the group, or church.

Pantheism Perverts Judgment

The forces of pantheism pervert judgment, for with the pantheistic goal of  christogenesis, or the fusion of all minds in the church and the world as one, judgment must then submit to the group, and no longer stand independent of the group, under God alone. Furthermore, pantheism destroys discrimination, the power to discriminate based on the understanding of the great controversy between Christ and Satan.

Pantheism Ultimately Seeks The Extermination of Those Who Remain Separate

Then, as submission of the conscious to the group becomes almost universal and is believed to be mandatory for the salvation of the human, race (“it is expedient for us that one Man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.” John 11:50; GC 615), those 3who stand apart from the pantheistic Oneness are perceived to be a threat to humanity’s salvation from destruction. It happened to Elijah, and to Jesus, and it will happen all over again, on a cosmic, antitypical scale to the remnant that hold to the worship of the Creator and His Sabbath.

“And he had power to give life unto the image (likeness) of the wild beast (monster), that the image (likeness) of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Revelation 13:15.

The Faithful are Headed in the Opposite Direction From Pantheism

“I asked the angel if there were none left. He bade me look in an opposite direction, and I saw a little company traveling a narrow pathway. All seemed to be firmly united, bound together by the truth, in bundles, or companies, said the angel, “The third angel is binding, or sealing, them in bundles for the heavenly garner.” EW 88, 89. The faithful will have a completely different orientation than the pantheistic Oneness of the world and the churches that accept the premises of pantheism. The Father’s name has been engraved upon their foreheads. (Revelation 14:1). They follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. (Revelation 14:4.) They have not stained themselves with “women” – the false churches, they have been purchased from the earth, and in their mouth is no guile. (Revelation 14:4,5).

God Influences Alone

There is only one way to know Him. And that is by turning aside to meet God alone, with His influences alone determining, guiding, and directing the judgment, through true and faithful self-surrender to Him, and an accurate understanding of Who He is from the Word – the true Word of God – the Biblical text in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic, or an accurate translation of that Word, such as the King James Bible.

The New Age Versions Sweep Christianity Into the Net of New Age Pantheism

In this article, you will see how serious a matter the New Age Bible versions and translations are, for a man who was deeply into New Age, declares that if it had not been for him and his wife reading the King James Bible they in all probability would never have been delivered out of following the false, New Age Christ. This man declares that if The Message Bible had been placed in his hand instead of the King James Bible, in all probability he never would have been delivered from New Age, for The Message would have reinforced the New Age Christ that he was following. The New Age Versions of the Bible are sweeping virtually all of Christianity into the net of New Age pantheism.

Soon the Entire World Will Have to Decide Who the True Christ Is

Soon, very soon, the entire world will have to decide who the true Christ is. Satan will manifest himself as Christ in the form of the description of Christ in Revelation chapter one.

It becomes of the utmost necessity to determine whether we are serving the true Christ of Bible prophecy, the true Christ of the Bible, or whether we are serving a false Christ.

Every False Christ Wars Against the True Christ

Every false Christ wars against the true Christ. That is the source of division among those who profess Christianity and who profess to be the Remnant.

Jesus warned that many false christs would come in His name. Many who profess to follow the Master in reality are following the false christ of placing human fellowship above christ, following the false christ who seeks the honor of men rather than the honor that comes from God only.

Many Make a Christ of “The Church,” Placing the Church Above the Biblical Christ

Multitudes follow the christ of placing “the church” above the Biblical Christ, as Rome does, for Rome serves a different christ than the Christ of the Bible.

The Jews, With Christ Standing Before Them, Chose the “Church” Above the Messiah, Accepting the False Christ that the Structure Gave Them

The issue of finding the True Christ is far more difficult than is commonly perceived, for the Jews, with Jesus standing before them, felt that He was doing the opposite work of what their Structure had led them to believe that He would do:

“Though He was the Prince of Peace, His coming must be as the unsheathing of a sword. The kingdom He had come to establish was the opposite of that which the Jews desired. He who was the foundation of the ritual and economy of Israel would be looked upon as its enemy and destroyer. He who had proclaimed the law upon Sinai would be condemned as a transgressor. He who had come to break the power of Satan would be denounced as Beelzebub. No one upon earth had understood Him, and during His ministry, He must still walk alone. Throughout His life His mother and His brothers did not comprehend His mission. Even His disciples did not understand Him. He had dwelt in eternal light, as one with God, but His life on earth must be spent in solitude.” DA 111.

Almost Everyone Turned Against Christ Because Of Their Conditioning by “the Church”

The people of the Jewish nation in Jesus’ day had been thoroughly conditioned to accept the church structure as the lord of their life, instead of accepting the Lord of heaven, the unseen God, Who must be known by faith alone, as their God.

Jesus said, “Yet ye have not known Him,” speaking to the Jews about knowing the Father. Though they believed themselves sure of salvation because of their standing as children of Abraham who did everything the Structure told them to – and the Structure had a global evangelism program of compassing sea and land to make one convert (Matthew 23:15) – their real father was the devil: “Ye are of your father the devil.” John 8:44.

The Masses, Conditioned to Believe in Another “Christ,” Rejected the True Christ

And even the masses that followed Him by the thousands towards the end of His life, before the cross, when they found out the true nature of His kingdom, rejected Him, - it was just, too, well, too mysterious, too ethereal:

“The test was too great. The enthusiasm of those who had sought to take Him by force and make Him king grew cold. This discourse in the synagogue, they declared, had opened their eyes. Now they were undeceived. In their minds, His words were a direct confession that He was not the Messiah, and that no earthly rewards were to be realized from connection with Him. They had welcomed His miracle-working power; they were eager to be freed from disease and suffering; but they would not come into sympathy with His self-sacrificing life.  They cared not for the mysterious spiritual kingdom of which He spoke. The insincere, the selfish, who had sought Him, no longer desired Him. If He would not devote His power and influence to obtaining their freedom from the Romans, they would have nothing to do with Him.” DA 391.

Multitudes Today Reject Christ on the Same Grounds As the Jews – Placing “the Church” Above the Person of the Christ

Likewise the multitudes today, when they find out that Jesus will not advance their standing in the Structure or even their local “historic” church, reject the True Biblical Christ, and accept the false christs that the Structure or the local church has to offer them.

Almost Everyone Rejected Christ on the Grounds of the Primacy of “the Church”

After Jesus preached this sermon on the Bread of Life, revealing that His kingdom was a mysterious, spiritual kingdom, the entire congregation of thousands of souls, left Him, to walk with Him no more. Only the disciples were left. The situation was so grave that Jesus even asked His disciples if they were going to leave also, and Peter responded, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

Form Tough Conviction That Can Not Be Intimidated by Satan

We must give close attention to how we form our convictions, and the strength with which we maintain true conviction against all pressure. Multitudes have allowed their conviction-making faculties to be mauled by the devil. The pulse of conviction beats faintly and feebly, and is overwhelmed by the slightest attack of the enemy. We must be like “Great-heart” in Pilgrim’s Progress, with sturdy souls that cannot be intimidated by Satan or his agents. Our souls must learn to welcome the battle over conviction as one more opportunity to become battle-hardened veterans in the Lord’s spiritual army.

Psychological Conditioning to “Go With the Flow”

Those who allow themselves to be conditioned to “go with the flow” will end up going with the flow when the whole world goes after Satan when he manifests himself as Christ in the crowning act of the drama of deception. Just because the tide of humanity sweeps into eternal destruction, does not mean that the rest of the heavenly universe is doing so. Quite the contrary. Hence, the union with the transcendent, True Christ is of vital consequence. Christ, the True Christ, must be the Great Center, around Whom everything else revolves.

How Christ is Defined

How Christ is defined is of extreme importance. There is a depth revealed by the Holy Spirit in the unreachable riches of the true Christ, in the worship of a God Whose character is worthy of worship, that is so very wonderful, and powerful – an anchor to the soul.

It is not enough even to say that one must accept the true, Biblical Christ, for the Jews of Jesus’ day thought they knew who the Biblical Christ was, but it was totally different than the real, Biblical Christ. Likewise today, the New Age believes it knows who the Biblical Christ is, but it is a New Age Christ, and not the True Biblical Christ.

His Word Must Abide in Us

Unless one actually implements the teachings of the True Biblical Christ in the life, he will wind up with a false Christ. Unless, he forsakes all for Christ, unless he seeks the honor that comes from God only, he will have a false Christ. Unless he experiences the true holiness of true sanctification, with Christ as the undisputed Lord and Master of the soul, with the True Christ teaching His own mysteries to the soul personally, he will walk in darkness and confusion.

False Christs Abound

Truly, as the nation goes into apostasy, and is willing to believe good of all evil, the light of wisdom is being put out, and the seeds of national ruin are being sown as false christs abound all around us.

Robert Schuller of the Crystal Cathedral was having difficulty purveying his New Age orientation to the more traditional churches of America, so now his student, Pastor Rick Warren, has succeeded in presenting Schuller’s New Age concepts in his twenty-million dollar best-seller, The Purpose-Driven Life, though he carefully never mentions Schuller in the book. We are given to understand that even the Structure was hosted Rick Warren’s Forty Days of Purpose seminars in its churches across the nation.

Rome has big things planned ahead for what was once the most powerful Protestant nation on the face of the earth.

No More Lingering Protestantism in the Public Consciousness

Now there is no more lingering Protestantism in the public consciousness to hold back the whirlwind of demonic power that is coming. No more Protestantism, even in the churches, which now worship other christs.

It is the work of the Second Angel to separate all false christs from the One, True, Biblical Christ. It is the work of Biblical prophecy to warn about that power that deceives the whole world. Revelation 13:14. Fatalism Mistaken for Providence

A failure of the Evangelical world to understand the Great Controversy in the setting of the Providence of God is leading ten of millions to board the lightening train of pantheistic spiritualism. For years I have been alarmed as I have seen the concept of “providence,” developed by the Evangelical world, enter the domain of Structurites and “historics” alike. The idea is, that if something happens a certain way, if there is an unusual chain of events or circumstance, if the path sees blocked, it must be the hand of Providence. There is an almost total lack of comprehension that Satan can also arrange circumstances, block a person, and make things happen.

Results of Fatalism

When in a remote nation in Africa, a missionary took me to an airport where a terrible crash had recently happened. Due to “political correctness”, new employees had been given the job of filling the fuel tanks of the airliners. A certain airliner had the wrong fuel put into the tanks.

The plane took off, but ran into trouble as it completely lost power as it sought to gain altitude. The pilot swung around 180 degrees in an attempt to land the plane. The plane crashed in the attempt and burst into flames. The pilot and engineer, jumped up, ran through the flames and jumped out of the back of the plane that had broken off, and were safe.

However, the passengers believed in fatalism, that whatever happened to them was God’s will. They remained in their seats, and were burned to death. Investigators who came aboard afterward saw the peaceful look of resignation on their charred faces. Such is the fatal consequence of a false understanding of providence.

Warren Smith Writes “Deceived On Purpose: The New Age Implications of the Purpose-Driven Church”

Warren Smith picked up The Purpose Driven Life, thinking it would be a quick read, but instead, from the opening lines was shocked to find New Age terminology rampant. One issue in the book led to another, until he felt called to write Deceived on Purpose: The New Age Implications of the Purpose-Driven Church.

Having been deeply involved in New Age, he picked up on things that the average person would not notice. Warren Smith came out of the New Age movement in 1984, and wrote a book about it in 1992, in which he warned about the “New Age Christ” who was deceiving the Church. More recently, in 2002, he has written another book, Reinventing Jesus Christ: The New Gospel.

Smith first became aware of Rick Warren author of The Purpose-Driven Life in a book published in response to 9-11, entitles From the Ashes: A Spiritual Response to the Attack on America. Jakes and others, were alongside New Age leaders , the Dalai Lama and Starhawk the Witch. At this, Warren Smith did not know who pastor Rick Warren was.

New Age Leader Walsch challenges Rick Warren and All Christian Leaders to Preach the New Gospel That “We Are All One”

In From the Ashes New Age leader Walsch directly challenged Rick Warren, Billy Graham and every Christian leader in the book, in light of 9-11, to accept and preach the “new gospel” that “We are all one.”

“After erroneously claiming that the Bible supports the idea that ‘We are all one,’ Walsch wrote:

“We must change ourselves. We must change the beliefs upon which our behaviors are based. We must create a different reality build a new society…. We must preach a new gospel, its healing message summarized in two sentences:

“’We are all one.

“’Ours is not a better way, ours is merely another way.’

“’This 15-word message, delivered from every lectern and pulpit, from every rostrum and platform, could change everything overnight. I challenge every priest, every minister, every rabbi and religious cleric to preach this.’” –Walsch quoted in Warren Smith, Deceived on Purpose, 15. [Bold emphasis ours].

New Age Seeks to Use 9-11 to Promote Pantheism

Thus, the New Age seeks to use 9-11 to promote inclusively based on Pantheism. Inclusively is the message being purveyed by the White House. This message of inclusively has already been advanced by Roman Catholicism in Peter Kreeft’s book, Ecumenical Jihad, where ecumenism in the culture war accepts every religion there is, from Islam to Confucism to Buddhism to Liberal Protestantism and Roman Catholicism, to join together to destroy the last vestiges of true Protestantism, which teaches that there is only One way of salvation.

Walsch’s best-selling conversations With God books define what Walsch is writing about:

This is all radical pantheism.

Walsch has now declared that God has a 5-step “Peace Plan” to ultimately save the world by establishing a “New Spirituality.” This plan involves abandoning the belief in Jesus Christ as the exclusive Lord and Savior.

Satan’s “Providence”

With this background, Smith began reading The Purpose-Driven Life. Smith, with his New Age background was very familiar with a favorite technique used by New Age leaders to convince Christians to accept New Age thinking. Here is how Smith describes it:

“A well-orchestrated and exquisitely times series of supernatural synchronistic experiences had convinced me that my involvement in alternative spirituality was ‘meant to be.’” – Warren Smith, The Light that was Dark: A Spiritual Journey (Chicago: Moody Press: Northfield Publishing, 1992), p. 144, quoted in Smith, Deceived on Purpose, p. 20.

“Meant to Be”

Smith writes, “It is important for the reader to understand that when I was involved in the New Age movement I had been greatly misled by a number of seemingly “meant to be’ types of experiences. I would later find out that many of these experiences had been cleverly orchestrated by a deceptive spirit world to make me think that what was happening in my life was coming from God – a seemingly chance encounter, a supernatural occurrence, something as simple as a book being innocently placed in my hands by a trusted friend. I had been told that ‘everything happens for a reason.’ ‘Nothing by chance.’ ‘There are no accidents.’ ‘It is all part of God’s plan.’ ‘It was meant to be.’

New Age Text: A course in Miracles

“A teaching from my former New Age text, A Course in Miracles, typifies this kind of ‘meant to be’ thinking that is so prevalent in the New Age:

How Satan Uses His “Providence” To Guide People Into New Age

“This idea that ‘there are no accidents’ and that ‘everything happens for a reason’ provided the spiritual justification for much of what I entered into in the New Age. If it was ‘meant to be’ then I assumed that it had to be from God. It was ‘meant to be’ because He loved me, and cared about me, and was reaching out to me in all of these life circumstances. He was leading me onwards and ever upwards on my spiritual journey. What other explanation could there be for all of these seemingly positive, spiritually uplifting, ‘synchronistic’ events that were happening in my life?

Assuming That Everything Comes From God

“However, I had not read the Bible. I had no clue that I had a spiritual Adversary and that he was active in my life. I just followed the signs and kept moving along my seemingly destined spiritual path. I never questioned the origin of what was before me. I just assumed that everything was coming from God. In fact, almost all of my involvement in the New Age was initiated and sustained by a continuous series of these ‘meant to be’ happenings.’” –Warren Smith, Deceived on Purpose, 18-20. Satan is using his own “Providence” to deceive people into accepting the New Age Christ. His own string of “Providential workings” is used to lure and then sustain people in the New Age movement. If we do not follow the Word of God from the ground up, we will be deceived.

Everything has to be Tested by Scripture

Warren Smith writes, “As a believer, I came to understand that I could not just attribute everything that was happening in my life to God and ‘destiny.’ I realized that seemingly ‘meant to be’ experiences can also be the deceptive work of our spiritual Adversary. I learned that everything has to be tested by Scripture and prayer. In the past, so many of my ‘meant to be’ experiences had led me deeper and deeper into the teachings of the New Age…. I learned the hard way that ‘meant to be’ experiences don’t always come from God.” Smith, Deceived, 20. (Emphasis mine)

The Dedication Page of The Purpose-Driven Life

Imagine Warren Smith’s shock when he read on the dedication page of Rick Warren’s The purpose-Driven Life:

“This book is dedicated to you. Before you were born, God planned this moment in your life. It is no accident that you are holding this book.”

Immediately Warren’s Smith’s tentacles went up. He knew this kind of language. It had deceived him before.

Obviously, God has His Providence. However, Satan also has his. It did not take long to find out.
