One of the best-kept secrets in the War on Terror is that Rome is creating a powerful international mercenary army made up of the best Special Forces from all the armies of the world.  This army, pound for pound just may well be like none other for power, speed, and training. It is called Blackwater, headed by a radical Roman Catholic, and led by executives who boast of being members of the Knights of Malta.

“The men from Blackwater USA arrived in New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina hit on August 29, 2005. The company beat the federal government and most aid organizations to the scene as 150 heavily armed Blackwater troops dressed in full battle gear spread out into the chaos of New Orleans… Some patrolled the streets in SUV’s with tinted windows and Blackwater logo splashed on the back; an unmarked car with no license plates. They wore khaki uniforms, wraparound sunglasses, beige or black military boots, and had Blackwater company Ids strapped to their bulging arms. All of them were heavily armed – some with m-4 automatic weapons, capable of firing nine hundred rounds per minute, or shotguns. This despite police commissioner Eddie Compass’s claim that ‘Only law enforcement are allowed to have weapons.’

“In an hour-long conversation in the French Quarter, four Blackwater troops characterized their work in New Orleans as ‘securing neighborhoods’ and ‘confronting criminals.’ They all carried automatic assault weapons and had guns strapped to their legs. Their flack jackets were covered with pouches for extra ammunition. ‘This is a totally new thing to have guys like us working CONUS [Continental United States],’ another Blackwater contractor said… Blackwater president Gary Jackson told the Virginia Pilot that his men were heavily armed ‘because of the intel that we received,’ adding, ‘We did not risk assessment and decided we’re going to send guys in there for real.’ Jackson claimed Blackwater ‘basically secured’ the French Quarter – a claim hotly disputed by local law enforcement agents…

“On September 18, Blackwater estimated that it had 250 troops deployed in the region; a number Matthews said would continue to grow…

“President Bush used the Katrina disaster to try to repeal the Pose Comitatus Act (the ban on using U.S. troops in domestic law enforcement), and Blackwater and other security firms initiated a push to install their paramilitaries on U.S. soil, bringing the war home in yet another ominous way. ‘This is a trend,’ said one Blackwater mercenary in New Orleans. ‘You’re going to see a lot more guys like us in these situations.”’ –Blackwater, 337.

ISI: Israeli Mercenaries

The Department of Homeland Security is run by the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, which is setting precedent by unleashing mercenary armies on the streets of a major American city, New Orleans.  Not only American mercenaries, but also Israeli mercenaries.

Another “approved vendor” operating in New Orleans is an Israeli mercenary force approved by the United States Government to supply Homeland Security services. This mercenary force is ISI, Instinctive Shooting International, made up of ‘veterans of the Israeli special task force from the following Israeli government bodies: Israel Defense Force (IDF), Israel National Police Counter Terrorism units, Instructors of Israel National Police Counter Terrorism units, General Security Services (GSS or ‘Shin Beit’) Other restricted intelligence agencies. The Israeli mercenaries were dresses in black and armed with M-16s. One, tapping his machine gun, said, “’Most Americans, when they see these things, that’s enough to scare them.”’ –Blackwater, 329.

·        has a presidency asserting the Unitary Executive Theory, which essentially gives the executive branch unchecked authority, with the legislative and judicial branches serving as truncated advisors,

·        is running unchecked wiretapping and comprehensive surveillance on its citizens, just as Rome’s frumentarii and agents in rebus, commonly called the curiosi, who would be soldiers posing as citizens who would speak ill of Caesar, encouraging the unwitting citizen to speak his mind, and then lead him off to prison in chains,

·        Both emperor and president became the sole war-making power,

·        with a House and Senate lacking the will to resist the takeover, just as Rome’s Senate operated in fear,

·        is removing ancient freedoms from English Common Law such as Habeas Corpus, with the Military Commissions Act of 2006,

·        has barbarians by the millions swarming across its borders,

·        is sending its suspected enemies to nations beyond the frontiers of civilization, such as Uzbekistan to be tortured,

·        assures it Senate and House and national citizenry that the ancient liberties are being maintained even as they are massively being taken away, just as in ancient Rome the outward trappings of the Republic would be maintained to the very end, though Rome had become an imperial state,

·        is privatizing its military, intelligence, spying, and prisons, just as Rome did,

·        is using its Halliburton and Wackenhut, and Independent Military Contractors to swell the ranks of its military efforts just as Rome used the Barbarians in similar fashion.

Just as in time of crisis the Romans would vote to empower a dictator to lead them out of crisis, even so the Senate and House have been voting dictatorial powers to the Commander in Chief, who is asserting these powers, and giving executive orders granting to himself dictatorial power in time of crisis.
